By SPY Reporters The Nigerian Air Force yesterday opened a Central Mosque, a Protestant church and Catholic parish for air officers and personnel in the Asokoro area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The air force said the new worship centres would enable its personnel and their families worship in a suitable environment, close to their residences. The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, speaking at the opening, called on Nigerians to continue to pray for the military, as well as for the peace and progress of the country. Abubakar, who was represented by the Air Secretary, NAF Headquarters, Air Vice Marshal Mahmood Ahmed, said, “The building of the new worship centres was part of the initiatives for improving welfare and motivating personnel towards the effective performance of their duties. “We urge the Muslim faithful to make a judicious use of the facility, as we do all within our power to spur personnel towards better performance and enhanced service delive
