Nigerian Army Approves Promotion of Senior Officers

The Nigerian Army Council has approved the promotion of senior officers to the next ranks of Major General and Brigadier General respectively.

According to a statement signed by the Acting Army Spokesman, Col Sagir Musa, among those to be promoted to Major General are Brigadier General S Idris, Defence Headquarters Abuja, Brigadier General DC Onyemulu, Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre Oshodi Lagos, and Brigadier General BO Sawyer Army Headquarters Department of Policy and Plans.

Nigeria Civil Service Union Agitates Improved Workers Welfare

By Ajogwu Jerry The Nigeria Civil Service Union (NCSU) has called for improved workers welfare especially now that the country is been ravaged by COVID-19 virus. This was disclosed at an event organized by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) chapter of the union held in Kano State. The Seminar with a theme "Staff Attitudinal Change As Basis For Revenue Generation" tasked staff of the organization to build positive attitudes to work in order to deliver the mandates of FIRS. Nigerian Army Team Bags Gold, Bronze In Taekwando Competition

The 8th Edition of the Inspector General of Police (IGP's) Open Taekwondo Championship, has ended, with the Nigerian Army Taekwando team, winning 7 medals. The competition was held at the Civic Centre, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, from 24 to 28 July, 2019. The championship featured participants from the 36 States of the Federation, as well as various Taekwondo Clubs across the country. Some international athletes from West African countries also participated in the event. About 250 competitors participated in the championship. Nigerian Army's Taekwondo team, made up of 12 athletes comprising 8 male and 4 female, featured in the exciting tourney. At the end of the 4-day sporting extravaganza, the Army's Taekwondo team carted away 4 Gold and 3 Bronze Medals.
