He said that the decision of the President not to release him negated the principle of the rule of law which he swore to uphold.
He added that several courts of competent jurisdiction have ordered the release of their leader but the Nigeria government continued to keep him in the custody without no reason.
The flags were displayed to the crowd with the caricature of President Donald Trump before members of the group sprayed the fuel on the flags and set them on fire.
The incident which took place at the junction of the popular Wuse market caused a traffic logjam in the area.
Also three coffins wrapped with Palestinian flags were on display which signified the three children of Ibraheem El-Zakyzaky who were killed by the security operatives during a protest in Zaria in 2014.
The movements had planned a massive protest to drive home their demands for President Muhammadu Buhari to release Ibraheem El-Zakyzaky to enable him to seek medical attention.
The group vowed to continue with the protest irrespective of the intimidation by the security agents.
