In continuation of the 2019 Budget Defence exercise, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, was at the National Assembly today, 1 April 2019, to highlight the performance of 2018 Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Budget and defend the 2019 Budget before the House Committee on Air Force, Chaired by Honourable Samson Okwu.

Nigeria Civil Service Union Agitates Improved Workers Welfare

By Ajogwu Jerry The Nigeria Civil Service Union (NCSU) has called for improved workers welfare especially now that the country is been ravaged by COVID-19 virus. This was disclosed at an event organized by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) chapter of the union held in Kano State. The Seminar with a theme "Staff Attitudinal Change As Basis For Revenue Generation" tasked staff of the organization to build positive attitudes to work in order to deliver the mandates of FIRS. In his address, the Unit Chairman, Mr Idris Abdulrahman hinted that the union is not resting on its oars with a bid to ensure improved workers welfare as practiced in other sister organizations. He applauded the performance of FIRS in year 2020 in terms of revenue generation while noting that staff of the service need to be encouraged to sustain the tempo. Nigerian Army Team Bags Gold, Bronze In Taekwando Competition

The 8th Edition of the Inspector General of Police (IGP's) Open Taekwondo Championship, has ended, with the Nigerian Army Taekwando team, winning 7 medals. The competition was held at the Civic Centre, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, from 24 to 28 July, 2019. The championship featured participants from the 36 States of the Federation, as well as various Taekwondo Clubs across the country. Some international athletes from West African countries also participated in the event. About 250 competitors participated in the championship. Nigerian Army's Taekwondo team, made up of 12 athletes comprising 8 male and 4 female, featured in the exciting tourney. At the end of the 4-day sporting extravaganza, the Army's Taekwondo team carted away 4 Gold and 3 Bronze Medals. Tukur Buratai has inaugurated the second edition of the Strategic Management and Policy Studies Course 2019 at the Nigerian Army Resource Center, Abuja.
